Samsara: One Voice, One Demand on Sept. 28

This September 28, Samsara, our partner organization in Indonesia, stormed the streets of Yogyakarta, and took the demand for safe and legal abortion directly to the people.

The team was led from the front by Inna Hudaya, the dynamic Founder and Director of Samsara. Together the team distributed fliers, plastered posted on walls, and joined artists to paint murals on the streets of Yogyakarta, a City known for its student art.

In an email to me, Inna wrote, “We just do it spontaneously and have fun as much as possible.” The video shows their active participation, and contribution to September 28, 2012.

In addition to these Samsara employed new media to reach out to young people around the world. A radio broadcast on a local channel helped them shout out their demands to Yogyakarta. In addition, they filmed a video that represents the voices and demands of young men and women. The video is below. Samsara is now sharing this video on all their social media channels. Join them in broadcasting their demand for safe and legal abortion across Asia, and the world.
