Over the last few months ASAP has been conducting several poster campaigns at International events that the staff attended. We designed the poster using the Ushahidi map we created last year to showcase the endorsements the campaign had received.

The very first campaign was at the Second International Congress on Women’s Health and Unsafe Abortion (IWAC 2013), where advocates for reproductive choice and justice met to discuss abortion as a public health issue and a human rights issue.

The second campaign was at Women Deliver 2013, where over 5000 advocates met to talk about women and sustainable development in which reproductive freedom plays a huge role.

The third was at our own recent workshop for abortion providers from the South-East Asian Region on the 2012 Update of WHO Safe Abortion Guidance.

At all these events we won enthusiastic support for which we are grateful. We have mapped these endorsements to show the support for abortion across Asia Pacific and the Middle East. As promised to those who signed, organizations are mentioned by name, but individuals have been given anonymity. Below are screen captures of the maps showing endorsements by individuals in green, and organizations in purple.
