Crackdown on Abortion Pills: Tweet us your thoughts!
Recently, the crackdown on sex-selective tools in India, put abortion pills in the news. Not everyone has heard of these pills. Very often, they are confused with the morning-after-pills, which are a form of emergency contraception. Abortion pills, on the other hand, are for women, who are already pregnant and are looking for an abortion.
Next week, we’ll be discussing these pills, and the consequences of the crackdown on their sales. In the meantime, here’s an interesting clip on abortion pills being sold without a prescription.
Taking these pills off the market, or tightening the regulations will not help fight sex-selection, but only drive these families to use unsafe methods. (Read more on how these pills should be used appropriately on our website.)
