Are you excited about January?
A note from Dr. Suchitra Dalvie
So, what is it about the date that gets everyone excited ? 1st Jan 2016 is just an artificial date on one of the calendars used around the world (Nepal is already in 2073 while Ethiopia is in 2007).
The date conveys to us a sense of renewal and an opportunity to do different things, to do the same things differently, do them better, to do things the way they may have never been done before………THAT is what makes us look forward to the year.
It is the hope that THIS year will be the one when women’s right to safe abortion is recognized by everyone!
So what would YOU like to do differently this year that will improve women’s access to safe abortion?
What will you do that will improve the conversation around women’s right to choice, right to control their own bodies, right to live a life of dignity and good health?
You can use our Myth Buster photos to reduce the stigma against abortion.
Post them on your FB page, share them with like minded supporters.
Do you want to spread the word ? Check out our animated film From Unwanted Pregnancies to Safe Abortions here with subtitles in Arabic, Hindi, Nepali, Sinhalese, Vietnamese.

We will also continue to support our partners who manage Hotlines (For a list of Hotlines in Asia please click: http://asap-asia.org/contact-us/ )

We look forward to working together with all of you for one more year, towards making the world a better place for women and girls!
