We are discussing the access to safe abortions this week, and I’d like to highlight the work of two organizations :

1. Samsara: Based in Indonesia, Samara aims to promote abortions as a sexual and reproductive right. In addition to providing access to information and counseling, Samsara advocates for a world where abortions could be discussed in an amoral, judgement-free way.

2. Women on Waves: Radical and unapologetic, women on waves has been providing safe abortions for women who have no access to safe medical or surgical termination because of restrictive laws.

Women on Waves has an excellent collection of resources for all those who need them.  This includes instructions on how to do a medical abortion.
