When a girl is born, her parents and relatives already dream and make her future plans. The parents think and dream about her, growing as a soft, shy, fragile and sensitive woman, marrying a rich and strong man who will handle her and she ending up being the mother of 2 or 3 children. The parents dream of playing with tier grandchildren.

But the parents and other people do not realize that the baby girl is now an individual human being who will grow up to be a woman with her own desires to live her life in her own way. Why does she have to marry and have children to prove her womanhood? Why does every woman’s own story end after having children ?

Is Women just a Reproductive Machine?

Why can’t society let her live and dream for herself ? Why can’t she decide if and when and whom to marry and to have children or not ?

Instead of stigma and discrimination, why can’t society support her to have safe and legal abortion when she needs one ? Why is the unborn child given more importance than the existing grown woman herself ?

When will we understand that she is a woman, a person, a human being, with feelings, aspirations, ambitions, desires……… and not a reproductive machine ?
