{"id":4361,"date":"2021-02-04T17:20:00","date_gmt":"2021-02-04T11:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asap-asia.org\/blog\/?p=4361"},"modified":"2022-06-09T09:40:14","modified_gmt":"2022-06-09T04:10:14","slug":"her-choice-by-lirisha-tuladhar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asap-asia.org\/blog\/her-choice-by-lirisha-tuladhar\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Her Choice&#8217; by Lirisha Tuladhar"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"blogtxt\">\n<p>She felt tears pour her pretty face<br>\nShe felt her heart calming down<br>\nShe could feel her nerves staying put<br>\nShe could feel her mind no more going numb..<br>\nShe was alright&#8230;<br>\nAll safe and fine<br>\nOn the white sheets of the bed<br>\nLying .. staring.. remembering &#8230;<br>\nThe choice she made for herself and her future<br>\nDespite the fear.. confusion and pain<\/p>\n<p>She felt that bump flattened on her tummy surface<br>\n Tears streamed her eyes.. finally she had aborted.. <br>\nSafe and sound her health is now..<br>\nEverything went out smooth and sorted<\/p>\n<p>No more fear to have the burden of worry about her future<br>\nNo more hardships from society to take the blame of defaming their culture<br>\nA single mother.. not a prestigious title at her home<br>\nThey wouldn&#8217;t understand the choice for not aborting <br>\nHad she taken to keep the child and raise it alone.. <br>\nShe thus made her choice, a choice of independency<br>\nA choice she could cherish with plans for her future pathway<br>\nA choice she was glad to make accepting the challenges ahead that lay<br>\nA choice she judged with her situation at hand<br>\nA choice she believes she took with intelligence and mind<\/p>\n<p>She thinks, she analyses her choice <br>\nFor now its her career that matters..<br>\nIt isnt time for a family yet- one she could take care of<br>\n It isnt what she wants to keep convincing her family for- a position of single mother she could have been<br>\nShe felt her choice was right- her decision of safe abortion the best<br>\nShe is safe and alright now<br>\nStarting a new life &#8211; fresh again <\/p>\n<p>Lirisha Tuladhar is an SRHR and safe abortion rights activist from Nepal and also a part of our Country Advocacy Network Youth Led SRHR Inititative (YoSHAN) <\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>She felt tears pour her pretty face She felt her heart calming down She could feel her nerves staying put She could feel her mind no more going numb..
